Are Reusable Face Masks here to stay?
It turns out that reusable face masks have staying power. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, face masks have become a must have item that can add identity, style and power to an outfit whilst keeping you safe. Even fashion designers and major fashion houses are adapting to the market in offering the face masks that people want to wear instead of staying with the boring blue disposable masks.
With face masks here to stay for the foreseeable future, people are finding ingenious ways to incorporate them into their outfits. Once a pandemic necessity and now a fashion statement.
From the Trikini...
Even fashion designers were initially taken aback by how much demand there was for fashionable face masks. One example of this is the trikini, or a three-piece combo of a matching bikini and face mask. It was originally released as a joke at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, by an Italian boutique swimwear brand, until it started receiving shipping orders from all over the world. From there on, fashion designers were quick to catch on.
...to Haute Couture
It wasn’t long before high-end fashion houses were bringing out their own lines of face masks, with Burberry launching the first collection of high-end face masks in August 2020. Since then, fashion has not looked backwards from incorporating face masks as part of their line-up.
Even Celebrities
